This year, the world’s largest fan-voted awards show once again swoop us off our feet with some surprising announcements that certainly left a mark in history. Not to mention, we were also blessed with a couple of comeback performances from iconic artists we’ve missed. Here are five highlights from the AMAs 2019 that we couldn’t stop talking about!
1. Selena Gomez performs live for the first time after two years
Welcome back, Selena! In case you haven’t noticed, the actress and singer hadn’t performed live on television for two years and the last time she stood on the stage of AMAs was in 2017 when she sang Wolves. The crowd (and fans watching online) undoubtedly cheered in excitement when Selena stood on the stage last night to perform a mashup of her newest singles, Lose You to Love Me and Look at Her Now.
Right after the show, Selena also took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message to fans, saying: “Feels good to be back. Thank you to my entire team and to my fans that stand by me. All of this is for you and because of you. Excited for this chapter.”
