Deepavali is just around the corner and for those who aren’t celebrating, you get an extra day off to discover a new place in the city. CitizenM Kuala Lumpur Bukit Bintang, which was officially launched in June this year, is worth a shot because take it from us, when we stayed there, we didn’t have a single complaint about this hotel despite it being right in the bustling city centre.
The first thing that we noticed upon our arrival were the photos of social media influencers placed at the entrance of the hotel. Their warm, welcoming and happy vibes made us feel right at home! What also impressed us was the check-in process, which was simply a breeze – everything was done in just a minute, literally. All we needed to do was scan our I.C. and we were all set to enjoy our staycation. When we arrived at our respective rooms, what got our attention was the bed – extra large in size and strategically placed to face the city, giving you a buzzing view of Bukit Bintang as you take a rest or afternoon nap.
There was also a MoodPad in each room for us to navigate the window blinds, control mood lighting and set the alarm. This high-tech feature made for a better stay as we could personalise the look and feel of our room. We were also glad to discover that the rooms were soundproof cos we’re pretty sure that if they weren’t, our neighbours would have come banging on our doors with all the screaming that came from the game of charades we were playing! In a nutshell, we enjoyed our time at the hotel.
Apart from it having huge, cosy beds that we could jump onto, we were more than impressed with a specially allocated quiet space that allowed us to do our work when we needed to. What also blew us away is the concept of sustainability practised at the hotel, including a decent-sized buffet that won’t cause wastage at breakfast, dental kits that are only provided upon request and the limited use of plastic throughout the hotel.
The hotel’s warm and friendly staff also made our getaway a memorable one so don’t be surprised that ever since our first stay at CitizenM Kuala Lumpur Bukit Bintang, we’ve already checked into it five times more! You might want to check out the hotel too and if you do, let us know of your experience. An important point to note is that the establishment only accepts credit card payment for room bookings either via its website or personal check-ins at the hotel itself.
