#TeamFemale Picks: FitFlop Sandals For Him And Her

One for you, one for your beau!

There’s nothing wrong with playing matchy-matchy with your boyfriend when it comes to dressing up, so long as you do it the right (read: subtle) way. For example, wearing different shades from a particular colour palette as opposed to sporting identical-everything from top to toe, cos you know, it will most likely warrant face-scrunching reactions in public as if you were wearing one of those cringe-worthy couple tees, which is also an absolute no-no FYI. On the contrary, couple dressing shouldn’t be completely off-limits. At #TeamFemale, we embrace the idea of dressing to match our other halves, but we do it in a quieter manner, such as slipping into these super-comfy FitFlop sandals that have similar styles (at first glance) but individual elements that make them work well together.

Sling perforated leather back-strap sandal in black

Gladdie leather lace-up sandal in white

“I like how this man-dal has the right amount of perforated details like the ladies’ gladiators without going OTT. After all, I always ensure my boyfriend’s #sotd is equally as on-point as mine.”

– Joan, Senior Fashion Writer

Trakk II in midnight navy

Florrie nubuck sandal in red

“Totally adding this floral design into my shoe collection! Plus, I’ll make bae wear a similar toe-thong sandal in his fave shade. Bonus: he can accompany me shopping with no complaints, considering how comfy they are.”

– Tammy, Features & Lifestyle Writer

Chi sandal in dark tan

Skinny criss cross slide in silversnake

“My boyfriend and I are huge fans of earthy tones as well as animal prints and skins (okay, the latter is just me), so these two designs are a perfect match without being in your face.”

– Yi-Di, Senior Web Writer

Gogh Moc pool slide in black

Glitterball slide in pewter

“On weekends, my fiancé and I often like to channel normcore vibes together. While he’s entirely fine with the unpretentious aesthetics of these pool slides, I like mine with a little hint of glamour – hence the glitter!”

– Sarah, Beauty Editor

This just in: the iQushion

As much as I hate to admit, flip flops can sometimes be a pain (literally). As a serial slipper wearer, I’ve had my feet bitten by skinny rubbery straps and even suffered from aching soles by day end. So imagine my relief when I stepped into FitFlop’s latest iQushion flip flops; each pair boasts an ultra-lightweight and anatomically-contoured sole featuring the technology’s micro-bubble foam that cushions the heels and balls of your feet 24/7. Plus, it doesn’t hurt (no pun intended) that the range comes in a major splash of colour – happy feet, guaranteed!
