Red Carpet Fashion: The Best of Met Ball 2016

This year’s theme: Manus x machina: Fashion in an age of technology.

The Met Gala, aka Met Ball, is probably THE most talked about fashion event in Hollywood most celebrities (and us) look forward to each year. If you don’t already know, this annual event is actually a fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City where it also serves as a grand opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit that has a different theme every different year.

Last October, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced that the theme for this year’s Costume institute exhibition would be Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology. Chaired by Apple’s Johnny Ive, along with Taylor Swift, Anna Wintour, Nicolas Ghesquière, Karl Lagerfeld, Miuccia Prada and Idris Elba, May 2nd could not have come sooner for us to witness the highlight of the event – its red carpet fashion!

So with its tech theme in full swing and star-studded audience arrival, we’re all ready to witness celebs and designers bring their A-game to what we call the arena of fashion; and trust us, they definitely did not disappoint.
