We’re Obsessed With Monki’s Latest Style Crush Campaign Star, Fil Xiaobai!

Monki, known for their quirky prints and super fun vibe, has brought out a new style crush collection staring one of China’s rising fashion muses.

Monki just announced their new collaboration with Fil Xiaobai: she’s a stylist at YOHO!GIRL magazine from China, Instagram fashion maven and definitely one of our biggest girl crushes of the month! Fil’s great sense of style and her fashion mantra, “Dare to be yourself”, no doubt makes her the perfect candidate for Monki’s Autumn/Winter 2017 style crush campaign.

Owing to the fact she has a groovy and funky style, Fil has a strong following all around Asia- and let’s not forget her great expertise in mixing and matching colours, prints and shapes whilst keeping everything super fun! For her style crush collection for Monki, Fil brings out a mix of classy silhouettes, oversized structures and sporty street-style faves like track pants and sweatshirts. Perfect for the office and after work! We couldn’t think of a better time for the collection to launch, as street-style fashion is still very much on the rise (just check out some of the outfits at Fashion Week!). We think Fil’s designs bring out the Monki ethos perfectly! Here’s Editorial Assistant Arielle in the Bella sweatshirt (in case you’re wondering, the printed characters read “Ha ha ha’ in Chinese – how cute):

The trendy campaign was shot by photographer Jesse Laitinen in Paris during Haute Couture Week:

Pieces to look out for: knitted jumpers, puffa jackets (just in time for the winter hols), a printed jumpsuit (dress it up or down!) and  track pants! You can get your hands on this one-of-a-kind collection by the end of September, both online and in stores. We’re definitely marking the date on our calendars!

'Bianca' knitted top, Monki

'Ebba' puffa jacket (shiny black), Monki

'Harriot' jumpsuit (patterned), Monki

'Lou' trousers (blue), Monki
