Following the success of Fenty Beauty that launched in 2017, it seems that Rihanna may have a new big project in the works: to launch a luxury fashion house.
Earlier this week, the singer was photographed in New York City donning a chic ensemble of Vetements blazer and bright neon yellow bodysuit. But what caught the eyes of the reporters was the pair of oversized statement sunglasses inscribed with her name “Fenty” on the sides.

According to WWD, multiple sources claim that Rihanna is teaming up with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, home to luxury brands such as Fendi, Christian Dior, Givenchy and more, to launch a luxury fashion house under her name.
If true, this would be the first time LVMH chairman and chief executive officer Bernard Arnault launches a brand new house from scratch since Christian Lacroix in 1987.
It seems that Rihanna alongside her own key associates have received a clutch of handpicked employees from LVMH brands including Louis Vuitton and Celine to develop the collection.
While there’s no confirmation on whether the bold, oversized shades are a new venture or collaboration piece, sources told WWD that the singer was simply test-driving a prototype.
It’s no surprise if the accessory ends up being part of the speculated fashion house as Rihanna is known to tease products before officially announcing the launch. This happened previously when she sneakily wore Savage X Fenty lingerie and also teased fans ahead of the launch of Fenty Beauty.

For the past few years, Rihanna has demonstrated a serious interest and influence in fashion when she whipped up several collections with notable brands, including her debut collection with River Island in 2013 and the release of her Fenty X Puma range after becoming the creative director of the German fashion sportswear in 2014.
Her collection with LMVH is understood to include ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories which are expected to launch sometime later this year.
