Sweeten up this holiday season with Lacoste’s annual Holiday Collector series – this year, the French clothing brand is collaborating with famous graphic artist, Jean-Paul Goude for a limited-edition collection, which consists of polo T-shirts, bomber jackets, bags and clutches.

Creative Director, Felipe Baptista & Jean-Paul Goude

“Crocodile” was the nickname given by an American journalist to René Lacoste, in the ’30s, as a reference to his tenacity on the tennis courts. He would never let go of its prey.” – Jean-Paul Goude

Speaking of how the collab came about, Creative Director Felipe Baptista said, “I admire Jean-Paul’s work and I knew he esteemed Lacoste and was ready to do something with us, and when we had this “Lacoste Collector” project, which gives carte blanche to designers and artists, I seized the opportunity.”

The Lacoste crocodile – reimagined through Jean-Paul’s eyes – takes us through the imaginary Africa of his childhood, his love of dance and his infatuation with the Bauhaus (the German art school).

The heavy cotton piqué polo T-shirt (available in both short and long sleeves) for both men and women comes in five classic colors: white, navy, mottled grey, green and red.

One of the two graphics in the limited-edition collection is embroidered on a tote and a clutch from the ‘Chantaco’ line.

The collection is now available at all Lacoste stores!
