We’ve got numerous brands showcasing their ready-to-wear collection in the upcoming Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2017. Besides anticipating for the array of new designs from our favourite KLFW regulars, the excitement also comes when we would be introduced to rising local designers who have quickly paved their way to KL’s hottest fashion show. In the new line up we’re expected to welcome local newcomers Payahui, A Jane, Aria The Label, PLaine and Arared to take the runway. Each of them is coming in with their own unique DNA and we’re ecstatic to see what they’ll bring to the centre stage!
Here are the five designers you must look out for at the KLFW2017:
The Artsy: Payahui
Pa Ya Hui has been making her mark in the Malaysian fashion scene one step at a time. Starting off her first showcase here at the Kedah Fashion Week 2016 followed by Penang Fashion Week 2017. We reckon it’s her masterful skill of pattern cutting and unique draping techniques that have pulled the crowd and caught the eyes of the who’s who in the local fashion scene. Having graduated from Middlesex University in Fashion Design, Pa plans to plant her seed here creating collections that are much closer to her Asian roots whilst also incorporating innovative touch through her work-of-art designs.
