Istana Negara On Instagram Brings Us Closer To Our Royals In A Delightful Way

Far from the days when we had to rely on newspapers for any news on the royals, the age of social media has meant that it’s easier than ever to keep up with our favourite royal families! Royals around the world have taken to Instagram for sharing moments of their daily lives  – and that includes Malaysia as well!

That’s right, did you know our very own Istana Negara maintains an Instagram profile?

Since the proclamation of our current King the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in January, the Istana has been generous is sharing snippets of the new royal family’s life on the web, and it’s already won over many hearts – ours included!

1. When the King stopped to look after an accident victim

Most recently, the King’s sincere kind-heartedness moved the nation when he stopped his entire royal motorcade on his way to a pre-cabinet meeting in Putrajaya to help an accident victim. Thankfully, the victim was only lightly injured, but we reckon she’ll never forget this moment of caring from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong! The incident was also documented on Instagram Stories, where you can see the concerned King in action.

KDYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong berkesempatan turun dari kenderaan rasmi Baginda untuk memberi bantuan kepada mangsa kemalangan jalan raya di kawasan Putrajaya. Alhamdulillah pemandu kereta terbabit, Puan Jasliza Jamil tidak mengalami kecederaan yang serius. Seri Paduka Baginda Tuanku kemudiannya meneruskan perjalanan ke Mesyuarat Pra Kabinet bersama YAB Perdana Menteri di Istana Melawati, Putrajaya. Daulat Tuanku. . His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda The Yang di-Pertuan Agong this morning extended a helping hand to a traffic accident victim in Putrajaya. His Majesty was on his journey to Istana Melawati, Putrajaya for a pre-cabinet meeting with YAB Prime Minister when the motorcade stumbled upon the accident. Fortunately, the driver Puan Jasliza Jamil suffered only minor injuries.
