Most women are very adamant to visit the salon for a haircut because they want to grow out their locks but avoiding the scissors for a long period of time is actually bad for your hair. A quick snip every few months helps freshen up the layers, get rid of split ends and most importantly, facilitate new hair to grow stronger. If you’re reluctant to sacrifice your long hair, focus on trims that only snip off half an inch so it doesn’t result in a drastic change or try trimming the ends yourself.
