Prudence Wong Reveals Her Minimal Beauty Routine For Sensitive Skin

Young and bright, our July Stylephile girl, Prudence Wong is heading in the right direction with her dream to inspire people through her fashion sense. If you see the 19-year-old on the street, she’s probably dressed in her bright colours as she says those burst of hues exemplifies who she is as an individual – cherry and optimistic! Just like her fashion sense, she likes to keep the beauty side fresh and bright. We caught up with her to talk about all things beauty related.

What is your everyday beauty routine like?

“I don’t put on heavy makeup hence I skip using the foundation. What I usually do is put on a hydrating moisturiser to keep my face looking hydrated and supple. Then I would conceal any blemishes before filling in my brows. The most important thing in my beauty ritual is to create faux double eyelids. Because I have monolid eyes, I’ll use a double eyelid glue to open them up – it’s super easy to use and last longer. Finally, I’ll complete my look with a swatch of my go-to pink lipstick for daytime!”

For a night out, what would you have on?

“I usually stick to the same routine except I’ll switch it up by painting my lips in a more bold colour – like red. I’d also do some contouring on my nose and brush on some highlights for that nighttime glow! I’m currently loving the Super Shock Cheek highlighter from ColourPop which has a rose gold tint that really compliments my skin tone.”

If we go through your handbag, what would be the five beauty items you have?

1. Benefit Hoola Bronzer

2. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

3. 3CE x Lily Maymac in Holy Rose

4. Colorpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter

5. 3CE Jumbo Lip Crayon

What is your skincare regimen like?

“I use to have sensitive skin, so I’ve cut down on the number of products I use on my face to avoid any bad reaction. What’s been working for me so far is a thorough cleansing routine followed by my moisturiser and sunscreen, super important! If we’re talking about night time, it’s face wash and pimple cream for those pesky spots. Because I can’t really take in a lot of products these steps have been working well for me.”

Name your travelling beauty must have(s)

“Moisturiser is everything! Cos being in the flight really dries out my skin so I never leave my moisturiser behind. I’m currently using one recommended by my dermatologist.”
