This easy-to-grow plant has great anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties, and it works wonders at removing dead skin cells that can get in the way of your shaving. If you have the natural plant growing in your garden, just snip the tip of the leaf and rub the gel directly onto the affected area. Otherwise, you can get aloe vera gel from the pharmacy or beauty store. Just make sure it doesn’t have artificial colours or fragrances that can irritate the skin.
