The La Panthère Eau de Parfum is a marriage of pure, mesmerising gardenia and sensual notes of musk and chypre you didn’t know you needed.
Created in March 2014, the La Panthère fragrance from Cartier draws inspiration from the panther which is a symbol of the brand and heritage of the house. Boasting a sensual and bold floral scent, this creation from perfumer Mathilde Laurent highlights the central notes of gardenia and animalistic musk.
Now to celebrate the iconic fragrance’s fifth birthday, the French luxury house launched a limited edition La Panthère Eau de Parfum.
Did you know? The Panthère has been the creative signature, symbol and source of inspiration for Cartier since 1914, when it first appeared on a watch with spotted motifs.
Created to be an olfactory equivalent of Panthère jewellery, the perfume is based on the same quest for excellence and desire to pay homage to the panther’s feline qualities, agility and sensuality.
In designing the scent, Mathilde Laurent was inspired by the concept of a perfume born from a fresh flower, hence her choice of gardenia, a flower with a pure, crystalline and carnal scent for the fragrance. The feline imagery, keeping in line with the panther, emerges from a radiant, delicate gardenia to reveal a musky structure that’s both animal and molecular, physical and abstract.
The La Panthère has made its name as a classic fragrance by daring to reintroduce the legendary chypre with an innovative feline-floral accord. It embodies the contemporary and unrestricted creative vision of the brand’s olfactory style: to escape the dull consensus and instead, spark emotions.
The La Panthère Eau de Parfum is available in 75ml and 25ml at all Cartier Fragrance counters and boutiques nationwide.
