Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Our beautyphile this month, Annatasha Saifol wears many hats. On top of being a photographer, she’s a sound engineer and pastry chef too! Annatasha keeps her skin routine simple with some product gems on repeat. Here, she talks about beauty, photography and everything in between.

FEMALE: When do you feel most beautiful?

Annatasha: “When I’ve had a productive day and my body and face are clean and fresh!”

F: What do you love most about your job?

A: “As a photographer, I provide an avenue for women to explore their looks and express themselves on camera. It’s satisfying to see them learn to love themselves and transform right in front of me as I take their photographs.”

F: How do you sync your beauty routine with what you do?

A: “Most times, my work will result in me being sweaty. Since I’m not in front of the camera, I’d often choose to go barefaced and let my skin breathe in the hot and humid weather. This ensures long-lasting comfort during longer job hours. My morning beauty routine in a word is ‘chill’ cos I normally don’t overdo it in the early hours. After cleansing, I make sure to tone, apply my serum and moisturise.”

F: Name us your top three lippies!

A: “The Rouge Signature series by L’Oréal Paris is incredible; it’s well-pigmented, non-drying and glides on like water. The shade I Enjoy is amazing for a bold look with edgier party vibes. As for a natural look with a flirty tint, NYX’s Lip Lingerie Lipstick in Ruffle Trim never fails. Last but not least, M.A.C’s Love Me Lipstick in Laissez-Faire is my lazy day lip colour.”
