REVIEW: Wanda Reign on the Bund

Looking for a place in Asia to celebrate a special occasion with your loved one? Here’s a suggestion… why not consider visiting China and spending a few nights at the newly-opened Wanda Reign on the Bund?

Located along the Huangpu District in Shanghai, Wanda Reign is one of the most expensive hotels built in China. As you walk around the hotel, you’d notice classy-looking paintings that were contributed by renowned Chinese painter, Shi Qi. The estimated value of these paintings itself is reported to be approximately worth HK$100 million.

One of the main things many people were impressed by is the design of the art-deco room. The main highlights of the room were the beautiful jade and marble bathrooms that came with electronically-activated toilets.

Another highlight of Wanda Reign is the French restaurant MARC on the top floor of the hotel. Its menu is uniquely designed by Michelin-star French chef, Marc Meneau. Most of the cuisine has a Burgundy influence while still tasting like traditional French cuisine. And as you dine here, you’d be able to overlook one of Shanghai’s most impressive terraces. If you have the time, be sure to visit this terrace for a 180-degree view of The Bund and Pudong’s Shanghai Tower (known as the tallest building in China).

Rest assured of being able to experience the sophisticated luxuries the place offers and be reminded of Shanghai’s glamorous past as well.
