We may only be 2 days into the new year, but it’s no secret that many of us are already marking our calendars to plan our next holiday. With at least 12 long weekends to look forward in 2019, there’s no excuse to delay that relaxing getaway you’ve been trying to plan with your friends for the longest time ever.
But where should you go? Cities such as Paris, New York and Tokyo always top the bucket list as must-visit destinations, but perhaps 2019 should be the year to be a bit more adventurous and switch away from these typical tourist hot spots.
Based on a combination of Airbnb search, booking and wishlist growth data, Airbnb forecasts a growing interest in off-the-beaten-path regions, cities and towns to explore this year.
