Last week I travelled to Seoul, South Korea for a family vacay and one of the things on my itinerary was to go café-hopping.
Seoul’s café scene has been mushrooming in recent years, with many featuring unique traits and themes that can get quite overwhelming to some. (And the coffee culture here is huge! Everywhere I walked people were drinking and holding iced coffees and you just get so influenced to get one yourself.)
From pink themed cafés in Myeondong to minimalist cafés hidden in the alleys of Jongno, here are some of the spots I visited (and wanted to visit) during my stay in Seoul.
1. Doré Doré
Doré in French means golden and Doré Doré introduces itself as a cafe to fill our lives with golden charms.
I went to the outlet in Garosu-Gil where the four-story café lives in a myriad of pastel hues which I found so aesthetically pleasing. When you enter, you’ll be greeted with a well lit up cake displays that’ll give you foodgasm with their selection of cakes!
A must try in this café is the Rainbow Butter Cake and their Strawberry Shortcake. For drinks, I had their seasonal floral iced tea which was the most refreshing thing on a hot day.
