4 Reasons Why You Need To Stay At This Chic Hotel

Break away from the norm in Phuket and spend a little me time in this state-of-the-art hotel instead!

Located in Bang Tao Bay, together with Laguna Phuket, Cassia Phuket is Banyan Tree’s latest hotel/service apartment that offers tourists a relaxing yet hyped-up holiday experience. Before we jump into the deets on how to plan your holiday, here are four things you’ll love about this place:

1. Therapeutic interior design

Step inside Cassia and the first thing that’ll get you hyped up is the combination of artistic designs and colours used to welcome guests. The pillars in the lobby that lead to the rooms are covered with graffiti art, and as you enter your room, you can expect to see every corner of the place ablaze with colours (by this we mean the walls are neon green, the cooking pots are pink and the sheets on your bed are orange!).

2. You can be your own boss

Besides having some alone time, it also means being completely independent here. Housekeeping services at Cassia are only available once every two days but you can expect basic amenities such as shampoo, body wash, towels, an ironing board and kitchen facilities including pots and pans in your apartment. If you prefer home-cooked meals, this your chance to cook your fave dishes for your family.

Market 23, the café, is located at the lobby and you can buy fresh produce here. Also, worry not about having room service disturb you when it’s breakfast time as Cassia has a special way to deliver your breakfast tiffin to your room without disturbing you! Just place the tiffin carrier back into the box when you’re done.

3. A chance to sit back and relax

Cassia has a variety of services that can help make your stay better. The Wi-fi here is free and you have the luxury of choosing from a one or two-bedroom apartment. Looking for a chill-out spot to lounge at? The infinity pool that overlooks Bang Tao beach and the beautiful swings located at the lobby is your best bet, it will give you the chance to stare into space, listen to the sound of running water in the background or even read a book.

4. Interesting tours

No stay is complete without a little sightseeing, right? So, we had a chance to speak to Ilias Vamkas, General Manager of Cassia Phuket, and this was his recommendation.

“In line with our theme – live, laugh and love – we want our guests to have a relaxing stay here. Day one is when you settle in. If you’re here on a Friday, then take the tuk-tuk out and have fun exploring the night market. On the second day, I strongly recommend the four-in-one full-day package. For THB4,000 (approx RM470), you’ll be taken on a tour of the Sea Cave where you can kayak or give the speedboats a shot. After that, you’ll be taken to James Bond Island (The Man With The Golden Gun and Tomorrow Never Dies were shot here), where you can have fun shopping for souvenirs and handicraft. By noon, you’ll be at Sea Gypsy Village, where you’ll be treated to a scrumptious Thai lunch. Lastly, the boat will stop by the white sand beach, where you can relax and have a drink or two before heading back.”
