As the chilly, cold weather (aka rain) of November slips in, you know it’s time for sweater weather! Nothing beats staying warm in your comfy oversized jumper whilst snuggling in your little nook with a book and a cuppa in hand. Of course, our cold weather comes from the pitter-patter of raindrops from the sky, which should be accompanied with some of these weather-appropriate tunes for you to chill out to before the heat returns. We’ve compiled some of the most relaxing hits (from covers to original compositions) to add to your rainy-day playlist.

1. Hozier – Cherry Wine (live)
Fall in love with Hozier’s sultry voice that’ll just lullaby you to a little cocoon of warm happiness.

2. James Arthur – Say You Won’t Let Go
This X Factor alumni came back from his four-year hiatus with this simple yet beautiful serenade.

3. Tracy Chapman – Fast Car (cover by Jasmine Thompson)
Believe it or not, this girl is only 15-years-old but her soft and delicate voice will just captivate you!

4. Chet Baker – My Funny Valentine
We love Chet’s version of the classic, jazzy tune!

5. Kodaline – All I want
Time to prep yourself with these: tissues, blankets and more tissues.

6. Birdy – Skinny Love

Fun fact: Birdy’s breakthrough song is actually a cover; the original singer of this mellow melody is Bon Iver (which you should also check out).

7. Elvis Presley – Can’t Help Falling In Love
The list wouldn’t be complete without including the Rock and Roll King’s famous 1961 tune.

8. Michael Bublé – God Only Knows
Originally sung by ’60s rock group, The Beach Boys, Michael’s slower version hits all the right notes (pun unintended) with his crisp voice accompanied by piano keys.
