Curated by ‘World’s Funniest Person 2016’ and beloved comedian Harith Iskander, this three-day laugh fest will certainly tickle your funny bone! Harith himself, as well as a slew of local and international talents, will be taking the stage at Black Box and The Bee Publika. Expect lots of local humour (Malay- and English-language), and prepare to take part in a comedic journey around Somalia, the US, Greece and more! Still haven’t got your full dose of laughter for the week? Next week, head over to Malaysia’s first (and only) full-time stand-up comedy club for more giggles! To celebrate their third year anniversary, Crackhouse Comedy Club will be hosting a range of comedians from Malaysia, the UK, Australia, the Philippines and beyond! To mark their move to a brand new studio, Black Milk Project will be hosting their soft launch party! From 10:00am to 7:00pm, there will be four workshops: two sessions of suminagashi, a Japanese marbling technique done with ink and paper, as well as coffee stain art and floral watercolour art done in monochrome. Elegant Jewellery Studio will be teaching all keen jewellers how to create their very own accessories this weekend and next! For three hours, you’ll be shown how to string together a bracelet, necklace and a pair of earrings using fine gems and pearls (all tools and materials included in fee). Fashion meets art at ‘The Bourgeois Ladder’, a collaborative exhibit demonstrating the practice of using upcycled materials to design wearable fashion. Instead of showcasing the designs via live runway, the designs have been captured by talented photographer Shanghwan, one of the exhibit’s collaborators. The space will be open at 10am on both opening dates, with an exclusive introduction and idea-sharing event on Friday at 7:00pm (which you can sign up for here).
