2. Having to do something you aren’t comfortable with

Some of us might be ‘sexperts’ but there are also some of us who have never explored this area AT ALL yet. Francesca* 23, admits “This is so embarrassing, but I didn’t even know that different sex positions and fetishes existed. I always assumed that everyone does the same thing.” When it comes to taking the ‘wild road’, Dr Martha suggests that you and your partner should create a sex bucket list.

“The ‘dominant’ person should first list down everything they want to try. Together, rank each experience from least to most difficult together. Consider the easier tasks first and put aside the more difficult ones for the time being. Remember to keep things light-hearted; sex is meant to be fun. If you’re curious about where your partner got these ideas from, ask him to clarify so you can find out a li’l more about that position,” says Dr Martha.  Always remember to let them know that you can help in terms of support and its okay to say no if your partner wants to take it too far.
