We went to see Zac Efron but left blown away by the amazing original soundtrack.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know that The Greatest Showman is probably the most-talked about musical since the release of La La Land. A Michael Gracey-directed film that celebrates the birth of show business inspired by the ambition and imagination of P.T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is still holding its spot on the cinematic charts despite having been released nationwide since the 28th of December. And its all thanks to the movie’s brilliant story line, beautiful costumes, tear-jerking songs and mind-blowing choreography!
After watching the movie for ourselves, it made sense now why they took home the ‘Best Original Song – Motion Picture’ award for This Is Me (performed by Keala Settle) at the recent 75th annual Golden Globe Awards. The 2018 OSCARS nominations might only be announced next week (23rd Jan) but we’re pretty sure this 20th Century Fox musical film will be walking away with at least one (if not multiple) nominations!
“I absolutely loved The Other Side by Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman. The song was funny, cheeky and has a beat that makes me want to move my feet to. To be honest, the whole soundtrack felt quite off the first time I heard it (without seeing the movie), but after watching the scenes that accompanied the songs with my own eyes, I can safely say that this is my fave part of the entire musical.
Plus, Zac looks incredibly mesmerizing here and we can finally hear him sing compared to when he was in High School Musical.” – Tammy, Features & Lifestyle Writer
