The hunt for the cast of the Hollywood adaptation of Kevin Kwan’s debut novel in 2013, Crazy Rich Asians, has been ongoing since 2016 and today Hollywood Reporter announced that Henry Golding will be playing the role of Nick Young in this film.

This will be the first feature film that the 30-year-old TV presenter and host will be acting in. He will play the boyfriend of a New York University professor who discovers he is actually part of a super-rich Chinese family in Singapore.

To top it off, Henry’s partner in this film, Rachel, will be played by Constance Wu, while Michelle Yeoh will play the role of his mother, who disapproves of their relationship.

Crazy Rich Asians will be a Warner Bros. Film and is set to be directed by Jon M Chu while Kevin will serve as the Executive Producer. Together with them, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson and Ivanhoe’s President, John Penotti will be producing this film too.

We definitely can’t wait for this film to be released!
