1. Types of teas

There are over 3,000 varieties of tea all around the world. However, if we exclude the matured tea, tea flowers, compressed tea and blends, the six main types are white tea, yellow tea, green tea, blue tea, black tea and red tea. Assistant Operations Manager at TWG Tea Singapore, Vincent Piovan (aka the Adam Devine lookalike), joined us at our tea-tasting event at the TWG Tea Garden in Marina Bay Sands. He started off by explaining that those six teas come from just the one plant. What differentiates them is their level of oxidation (contact with the air).
