FEMALE Tries: Muse Eatery’s Comfy Chow

Fit for a (hopping) foodie!

Come for the salivating flavours, but stay for the pretty spots Muse Eatery has to offer! This PJ newbie has been all over Instagram thanks to its cosy palates, something food bloggers and Instagram enthusiasts crave for. If you have a special spot for prawns, you might wanna give this café a try.

They have burgers, pastas and Western dishes with a Malaysian twist (among others!), cooked to match your beverage for the day; be it a hot cup of Cappuccino, a chocolate mix or freshly crafted juice.

Here’s what we (Graphic Designer, Su Min and I) had for lunch:

Har Jiong Chicken Chop

Muse Shrimp Aglio Olio with pan-seared tiger prawn (RM20) makes a nice, light lunch – the portion is just nice to fill you up sans worrying about your usual afternoon food coma. I’m always on the side of spicy noms so if you ask me, this could have been a li’l spicier for my taste. The prawns, of course, are like cherries to your ice cream! Juicy, adds significant dashes of flavour to the plate.

Har Jiong Chicken Chop (RM22) is quite an interesting feat. Here’s what it is: deep fried chicken specially marinated with shrimp paste served with golden wedges, green salads and homemade spicy sauce, which was something newly introduced to my tastebuds and isn’t bad at all. It’s flavourful and crispy, plus the portion can be shared by two (given that you’re not famished). Tasty stuff!

Muse Eatery’s burgers are served with green salads and skin-on fries. We had the Masala Lamb Burger (RM23) the last time and it’s great how juicy the homemade patty was. It has that good blend of zest and condiment, which makes it a yummy try.
