FEMALE Tries: Fook Yeah’s Familiar Flavours

Prev1 of 2

Locating Fook Yeah for the first time was a bit of a challenge if you’re not used to the minimal-yet-slightly confusing Empire City maze, but for regulars, going to the restaurant for lunch (or dinner) is a breeze – a delightful one even. Note for first-timers: once you have the MyEG tower in sight, you’re on your right way fast.

If you’ve a knack for Chinese delicacies with a hint of fusion, this is your place to be. Fook Yeah offers honest, yummy dishes that live up to your Malaysian tastebuds. Everything from its tasty spicy sambal chicken and fried bihun to the restaurant’s kampong fried rice leaves your tummy happy.

May we suggest the Yu Xiang Shredded Chicken (RM18)? It has that familiar vim to it that makes us enjoy it with a plate of white rice but it’s great on its own too.

Simple pleasures take form in Fook Yeah's cooling Lemongrass Jelly with Longan and Wolfberry (RM5). We’re in love with this simply sweet treat too cos it’s a nice wash to complete your dining, especially if you’re here during lunch hours. A refreshing dessert to have on yet another hot, hot day, yes?
