Chicken lovers, God has answered our prayers!
Back in February, four friends texted on separate occasions to tell me that a new Korean Chicken restaurant just opened in Pavilion. If you were in their shoes, you’d tell me the same thing cos I LOVE chicken!
One month has passed since then and I finally got the chance (with my colleague Arielle) to eat there. Located on Level One of Pavilion Elite, this South Korean chimaek (a term used to describe the combination of fried chicken and beer) restaurant is really a dream come true. The first-in-Malaysia fusion eatery gets its poultry from a halal-certified farm, so while it does do not have a halal certificate due to the beer in the menu, they are pork- and lard-free.
Chir Chir (pronounced Chi-ruh Chi-ruh) opened its doors to the public in January this year, and since then has seen a constant line of customers waiting to dine in. Its generous portions and rich flavours of the dishes are two of the reasons why we’ll definitely be going back for seconds. In the meantime, here are some of the dishes we got to try.
