You’ll Be So In Love With These Pretty Jewellery Pieces!

Earrings and necklaces are hot this season and Jenn Low, founder and managing director of Wanderlust + Co shares her experience and tips on how to style these jewellery pieces for a chic look.

The jewellery world has its eyes on earrings and necklaces this season. Circular and spherical shapes are the earrings of the moment for the lobes, while delicate strands and layers of fine chains are the flavours of the season, putting thick, chunky chokers to rest for now.

Whether you’re heading for a night out with your girl squad, or sipping your weekend cuppa, getting your jewel game right will add that subtle flash of cool to the simplest of outfits. This season, sculptural pieces and tiered hoops will help you run the day. Pick a classic hoop earring with two metal shades to make mixing metals easier. Pairing silver with rose gold will up your fall outfit’s cool factor in an instant.

When it comes to necklaces, this season it’s all about layers, layers, layers. With a spotlight on celestial shapes, layered necklaces tell a story with moon phases and delicate clusters of stars. When layering, be sure to juxtapose sizes and lengths – dainty chains in different lengths layer well with a heavier statement pendant necklace.

Personally, I am obsessed with the minimalist zodiac necklace as it adds a nice personal touch to formal outfits and it brings a touch of style when worn with casual clothes. If you like to keep it simple, you can’t go wrong with a single chain necklace with dainty multiple pendants – perfect for staying on trend without trying too hard.

Another personal must-have for me is the hand chain. Often misunderstood as a more foreign, unapproachable piece, the right hand chain is one that you will reach for time and time again. I like to layer my favourite rings around it for an easy yet polished finish. Style them with your favourite T-shirt and ripped denim jean with a rose coloured lip for an updated, fresh ‘90s vibe.

In line with the fast growing movement in mindfulness, I love jewellery that expresses something personal, beyond just the style factor. I almost never leave the house without my Breathe Bangle. A mantra bangle makes for a nice addition to any arm but also serves as a daily reminder that stands for your inner voice and beliefs, whatever the season.
