5 Ways To Wear The Space Trend On The Street

Have you seen how Karl Lagerfeld introduced galactic glam to Chanel’s impressive space-themed F/W 2017 show?

Metallic boots, sequins, shiny accessories dazzled and even astronaut Buzz Aldrin walked the runway! The now-famous cinematic runway show has left us all in awe and thinking how cool it will be to rock the trend for ourselves. But is it really possible to bring a bit of the galactic space trend to our daily outfits?

Of course! Here are some tips to wear the space trend on the street. Beam us up!

  1. Shine ‘em all

One of the easiest pieces you can pick to portray visions of space is a silver sequin skirt. Either mini, midi, or maxi– any length will do. Just wear it with a black top and you’ll shine like a star!

  1. Moon walkin’

Try wearing thick sole sandals and transparent boots for the impression of astronauts walking on the moon. This time, match it with a short skirt to make your legs look longer.

  1. Space buns

Ain’t nothing like space without space buns! Pay homage to the greatest galactic princess of all time with this easy hairstyle. Just roll your hair up, pin it into buns, and match it with a funky t-shirt. Ta-da, you’re ready to save the galaxy.

  1. Laser eyes

If you’re a fan of sci-fi movies, I’m sure you’d approve this fashion statement: red sunnies that bring to mind laser eyes! These days, you can make red sunnies suit almost all occasions. Play it up by keeping your clothes in dark tones, and add a black leather jacket to complete the look with even more badassery.

  1. Astronaut collar

This high collar dress is a great subtle throwback to an astronaut’s gear. Pull your hair back into an up-do like a ponytail to let people focus on the collar. But to avoid looking overly obvious and costume-y, avoid high collar onesies in dull colours like white, cream, or beige.
