Looking back at all the social media hype early last month, the first thing that strikes our mind when we look at Chiara Ferragni‘s wedding photos is… what went through her mind as she was planning this special event, especially the design of her gowns? Here are all the deets you need to know about this Italian influencer and why she decided to work with Dior‘s Creative Director, Maria Grazia Chiuri for this special event.
Inspired by the crafts of Italy, the dress that Chiara wore at the ceremony was made up of a crocheted lace romper and an A-line skirt that opens in front, which was hand-pleated using 32 pieces of tulle.
On the other hand, her evening gown was embroidered with motifs and words that narrated the story of the couple’s history including the cities they’ve lived together in, lyrics from the song that her husband, Fedez, sang to her and a lion that symbolised their son, Leone, who means the world to them.
No doubt, she did look like a princess in both her dresses, but beyond that, Chiara’s personality prevailed through her outfits. As she walked down the aisle and danced away with Fedez at the reception, it was clear that Chiara meant what she once said: “Love is amazing and powerful. Life revolves around love. There is no reason to not love the people around you, and your life is 100 per cent even if nothing is always perfect.” The way she carried herself elegantly in both outfits also revealed that nothing was going to let this wonder-woman stray from the love she had for herself, Fedez, Leone, her family, her career and even her fans. As she once mentioned, “I’d do anything for love, except love myself less. Always remember you’re special and you always have to make yourself proud before pleasing others.”
