PUMA And Karl Lagerfeld’s New Collaborative Sneakers Feature Classic Sophistication And Street-Style Edge

It may be three months ago when the news of Karl Lagerfeld’s passing shocked the world, but the fashion world still continues to mourn the loss of the fashion icon today.

In an effort to honour his legacy, PUMA announced they are collaborating with the designer’s namesake label KARL LAGERFELD to introduce two special edition sneakers for men and women. The collectible shoes will be launching worldwide on 16 May 2019 and fuse PUMA’s streetwise swagger with a touch of Karl’s classic sophistication.

Covered in a playful polka dot pattern, the shoe boasts a contemporary yet youthful aesthetic and reflect Karl’s signature personal style of black and white steez. Named the Roma, the silhouette was first introduced by PUMA in 1968 as a track shoe and has been reissued today.

Both styles are crafted to combine comfort and style while sporting a chic look. The unisex Roma is built with a soft leather upper and a KARL LAGERFELD graphic on its side while the Roma Armor for women features a satin finished upper and unique graphics of the KARL LAGERFELD logo. Both sneakers have a die-cut stacked midsole decked with oversized KARL LAGERFELD branding.

The launch of these sneakers follows the global success of the first collaboration between both brands back in 2018 that featured apparel in addition to footwear. Set to retail at RM575, the KARL LAGERFELD x PUMA sneakers will prelaunch on Karl.com and Puma.com on 15 May and launch nationwide on 16 May ay PUMA KLCC, PUMA Sunway Pyramid and PUMA Sky Avenue.
