Pretty Ways to Organise Your Jewellery

Never again will your fave accessories go Rubix-mode on you.

Most of us are either clothing fanatics, handbag collectors, shoe-holics or simply accessory junkies. But compared to apparel and footwear, jewellery obsessions may be harder to store due to its different sizes (anyone here always losing one half of a pair of earrings?) and shapes (read: necklaces, bracelets and rings all tangled together into one huge mess). Well, have no fear because Pinterest is here, and we’ve found some of the neatest (pun intended) inspirations to organise your beloved trinkets.

PICTURE FRAME DIY JEWELLERY ORGANISER

There’s finally a reason to buy those pretty picture frames; by using them to hang your canvas of accessories! There are several ways of doing this. You can either use a corkboard material as the base of the frame and thumb tack your accessories to it, or tie a (lace) ribbon at the back of the frame to hang them instead.

POCKET JEWELLERY ORGANISER

One piece per pocket and you’ll never mix or tangle them up. You can easily get hanging pocket organisers like these for RM5 at Daiso!

CLIPBOARDS

Here’s a cool way to vintage up your room while displaying your collection of necklaces. If you don’t have fancy clipboards, just clip a textured cloth or a printed paper to give it more oomph!

DECALS AND THUMB TACKS

Apply a decal of a tree bark (Typo sells some) onto your wall and pin some thumb tacks/self-adhesive hooks on it to hang your necklaces. It’ll look like it’s hanging off a real tree. Talk about optical illusion!

SELF-ADHESIVE HOOKS

Don’t fancy thumbtacks hanging in your room? Well, then just skip them and opt for these hooks to hang your necklaces instead. It’ll make a nice ‘wallpaper’ if you have a colourful collection. Works for bracelets too!

EGG CRATE JEWELLERY ORGANISER

The next time you finish a carton of eggs, don’t dump it in the bin; re-use it as an organiser for your rings or earrings! Give it a paint job to make it look more colourful.

BAMBOO CURTAIN

Available in Daiso as well, who would have thought that this mini bamboo curtain shade would make such a great fuss-free earrings organiser?

GLASS BOTTLES AND HAND FIGURINES

Here’s a great green trick: reuse glass bottles as a standing rack for your bracelets and watches. Also, if you ever find any hand figurines at flea markets, it might be a good idea to snag one to ‘wear’ your rings that are ‘off-duty’.

PRETTY DISHES AND BOWLS

Whether they’re earrings, rings, chains or bracelets, those mini plates / dishes will be able to hold them well and swell. Plus, it adds as decor to your room. If you don’t have fancy tablewear like these, you can always layer a piece of cloth over plain ones.

HANGERS

If you’re not into nailing or pinning your walls, hangers are one of the easiest ways to go! To maximize it as a jewellery organiser, get a raime-like or lace material to drape over the hanger. That way, you can hang your earrings on it too!
