If you’ve dreamed of a simple traditional wedding with a group of close knit family members with a classy beautiful dress, ring and effortless makeup, Pippa Middleton’s wedding is quite the perfect inspo for you!
Pippa Middleton, 33, recently tied the knot to hedge fund manager James Matthew, 41, on the 20 May 2017 at St Mark’s church in Englefield, Berkshire. About 150 guests including her sister Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and brother-in-law, Prince William and their children, were in awe of how Pippa looked in her beautiful fairytale dress, so were we!
Pippa’s wedding gown was custom made by British designer, Giles Deacon. The seamless high neck lace gown was subtle yet stunning with the cap sleeves, pearls embroidered around the neckline and fitted bodice. It’s traditional yet contemporary, we’re totally in love with it, #weddingdressgoals! The bespoke gown is said to have cost around £40,000 (RM 22,2729.61). Pippa also brought something old to her wedding as she apparently wore the same pearl drop earrings she wore at her sister’s wedding. Her tiara was from renowned jeweller, Robinson Pelham.
Of course, what’s a wedding without the ring that seals it all? Pippa’s was beautifully simple, a classic and elegant gold band, which she wore below her 3.5 carat diamond engagement ring.
Pippa has always worn her makeup polished– with groomed brows, classic eyeliner and mascara, rosy cheeks and the perfect pink lippie that looks great everyday wear. Keeping it to the minimum as usual, she went for a look that enhanced her natural features making it effortless and beautiful, like the English rose that she is. Definitely, something for us to keep in mind *wink*.
Well, rumours are flying around whether Pippa did her own makeup or if she was done up by Bobbi Brown’s makeup artist, Hannah Martin, but one thing’s for sure you can easily copy her look at home!
You want to get a nice sun-kissed glow base for your look. Using a flat brush, evenly apply liquid foundation. Swipe bronzer over your hairline, the side of your face, hollows of the cheeks and your jaw in a ‘number three’ motion. Not only will this give you that nice natural looking tan but it’ll also give your face definition and makes your face smaller.
Enhance the cheeks by brushing over a natural pink shade, over the apples of your cheeks and the tip of your nose for that beautiful flush of colour.
Line your eyes with a slate-grey liner and blend it out for a softer look. Using a black waterproof mascara (in case tears of joy starts forming), coat your top and bottom lashes for added volume.
Line your lips with the same shade of your lipstick for longer power stay. Finish it off with a creamy pink lipstick.
