See what Sarah wore for the week-long affair!
As any Fashion Editor would tell you, Fashion Week is not for the weak. Behind the seemingly glamorous runway shows, after-parties and celebrity encounters, you’ve got to balance a hectic schedule, last-minute appointments, insane traffic, very little time for eating and get this: running around in heels while you’re at it (cos a girl has got to look on-point, of course). This was my first time attending Milan Fashion Week and I had no idea what I was in for. Read on to see how my time there was like and where you can get the outfits that I wore.
Day 1: All suited up!
With it being the first day, I woke up bright, early and optimistic for a day full of appointments. To set the mood and kick-off the week right, I picked a brown tartan pantsuit as it made me feel confident and effortlessly stylish. Power suits have a way of making you feel like that, don’t you think? After getting to my first presentation for Furla by taxi, where this picture was taken, I then navigated the streets of Milan on foot by myself (Google Maps FTW) to the Bulgari Hotel for the Bulgari presentation. Afterwards, I took a 21-minute subway ride to catch the Prada runway show and made it back to town to see Alia Bastamam’s first-ever showcase in Milan. My first mistake? Wearing these uncomfortable block booties but hey, I loved how they look!
