We’re excited to hear that our guilty pleasure TLC reality series, Say Yes To The Dress is getting its own Asian debut coming soon! The series will be hosted by non-other that renowned Malaysian fashion designer, Jovian Mandagie and television presenter and actress, Daphne Iking. The two will work to find brides-to-be their ultimate wedding dresses.
Imagine getting first class service to pin down your dream wedding dress by Jovian Mandagie himself! With Jovian in the show, you’ll be in for a treat as he will definitely take the sartorial aspect of the show to a new level as he is known for his haute couture style.
His clienteles are not just anyone, they’re the KL elites and Malaysian royalty like former Raja Permaisuri Agong H.R.H D.Y.M.M Tuanku Nur Zahirah and HM Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha of Brunei, to name a few.
“I’m honoured to be given the opportunity to join the Say Yes to The Dress Asia team. As a fashion designer, it gives me great joy creating the perfect fit and bringing my clients’ visions to life.
“I can’t wait to meet the brides to help them uncover their personal wedding styles as they hunt down the perfect dress for their big day,” says Jovian Mandagie, who recently released his new couture/bridal collection.
Meanwhile, award-winning actress and TV personality, Daphne Iking have quite a number of hosting gig under her belt. She previously hosted shows like Ringgit Sense, Explorace, The Breakfast Show and Bella. Besides that, she also does vlogging on the side as she brings her 25,000 Youtube subscribers into her life from her travel journeys to family life.
Daphne who will act as the image consultant for the show previously worked with Jovian as he played an important role in finding her very own wedding dress.
We can’t wait to see the two working out to help out those brides-to-be who will tell their sweet (sometimes tearjerking) love stories, exaggerated demands, waterworks and of course saying yes to their dress!
We wonder if the wedding dresses will be those typical white gowns or will we see more traditional Asian wedding gowns? We’ll just have to wait and see.
There’s no news yet on when it will premiere but we know it’s coming out later in the year. Stay tune with us for more updates!
