Monki may be a fashion brand, but it’s also equally as well known for being a powerhouse for empowerment. They’ve thrown their support behind mental health, body positivity, diversity, and feminism among other things in ways that go beyond just clothing designs. One such example is their DJ of the Month initiative, which highlights up and coming talented female DJs from around the world by having them create a custom playlist to be played in stores.
And this month’s Monki DJ of the month is our very own Ashley Lau! The Malaysian influencer and DJ’s upbeat and energetic playlist will be played in Monki stores worldwide, which is a huge deal! We caught up with Ashley to congratulate her on the campaign and to find out more about her playlist, and her thoughts on music and fashion.
