Think you have what it takes to be a fashion designer? Here’s how you can stand a chance to showcase your work at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready To Wear 2018.
Always felt you had a flair for fashion and been itching to get the designs that have been playing in your mind out for a long time? Well, this is YOUR chance to shine!
The AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search is officially on, and for this third edition, the regional search expands to five additional countries – Myanmar, Brunei, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, alongside Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines and Malaysia from last year’s search.
The competition is open to all local and international students between the ages of 18 and 30. To be one of the two finalists representing Malaysia at the finals this coming August and win the opportunity to showcase your designs at the KLFW Ready To Wear 2018 (plus prizes worth up to RM350,000!), all you need to do is submit the following by 15th April:
- Three womenswear sketches inspired by ASEAN elements on one A3-size mounting board.
- A mood board on one A3-size mounting board.
- Fabrication on one A3-size mounting board.
- A completed online entry form, which is available at klfashionweek.com.
The panel of judges that will determine if you have what it takes to enter the finals comprises the founder of Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready to Wear, Andrew Tan, AirAsia Berhad Chief Executive Officer, Aireen Omar, co-owner of FashionValet.com, Vivy Yusof, fashion designer Alia Bastamam and FEMALE’s very own Editor, Yang Mei Ling.
