The all-American luxury label puts on a show to remember.
With so many dystopian TV shows and movies that have been presented to us over the past years, Coach’s Spring 19 runway show, featuring a post-apocalyptic landscape with run-down cars and a very large dinosaur frame made out of rusty metal parts was an extreme delight to see IRL.
Nothing as gruesome as the scenes from The Walking Dead though, the collection and set-up was inspired by a visit to the Ghost Ranch in Sante Fe and is all about “assembling and reconstructing the craft and spirit of the American look.” The show presented “a new gang of dreamers traversing in an unraveling prairie landscape in the wake of their revolution, trailing scavenged and salvaged American heirloom.”
Here’s a break down of what we loved about the show!
#1: Bronty the dinosaur
The studio at Pier 94 was completely transformed for a night. Like a huge dinosaur fossil you’d see in a museum, Bronty takes up all the attention of the massive show space. He is life-size, except made out of old vehicle and metal parts. And how about that face? Too cute!
