We got to check out the pop star’s latest collaboration with sportswear brand Puma, and here’s what we discovered.
Early this September, we had the chance to preview Rihanna’s latest collab with Puma – the much-coveted Fenty x Puma Fall ’16 collection – at Pedder On Scotts in Singapore. The streetwear-inspired pieces featured structured, monochromatic designs influenced by Japanese street styles. As Rihanna explains on TheCut.com, the collection is stylish but comfortable with a hint of gothic, “like the Addams Family working out”. Now, that’s a look we can get behind! Of course, with fashion trailblazer Rihanna’s influence, all the latest trends have been incorporated into the collection. Here are some of our faves for you to look out for!
The Fenty x Puma collection features a lot of lace-up trends on items ranging from hoodies and joggers to skirts, leggings and sneaker heels.
Made popular by models-of-the-moment Kendall Jenner, and Gigi and Bella Hadid, the athleisure trend is definitely here to stay. If you look like you’ve just dragged yourself off a treadmill, worry no more as the Fenty X Puma collection showcases a combo of slouchy styles, cropped cuts as well as sleek, sexy pieces like a pencil skirt with lace-up details, creating the perfect union of sporty and trendy.
This backpack is a perfect addition for your wardrobe as it’ll match almost anything already in it. Not to mention, it’s spacious enough to store plenty of your everyday essentials!
4. Bell sleeves
Extra-long, flared sleeves on basic tops were another thing we fell in love with. They provide just the right amount of flair to make a statement, and if you’re feeling cold, the sleeves give you all the warmth, from your shoulders to the tips of your fingers.
Chokers have been making their way back into every girl’s jewellery collection lately. We’re not surprised; they’re the perfect accessory staple for any outfit, whether casual or dressy! The Fenty x Puma chokers have been given a unique twist: they’re designed to look like sweatbands for the neck (as seen here on Rihanna)!
Limited pieces from the collection will be available exclusively at Puma stores in KLCC and Sunway Putra later this month, and price information will be available in-store! For a sneak preview, take a look at the behind-the-scenes campaign video:
