Hats off to Stuart Vevers for pulling off a show to remember that represents the hustle and bustle of the city!
1. Summer in the Park
Coach’s Creative Director, Stuart Vevers was able to catch that summertime essence by showcasing his collection on The Spur and Coach passage located at the High Line park. If you caught the brand’s name on this newly-opened section of the park, it’s because the passage crosses through the global headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards. The best part? It’s also named in recognition of the Coach Foundation’s gift to the High Line. Furthermore, the brand made a donation on behalf of each guest to the park’s ‘Adopt-A-Plant’ program. How cool is that?
2. ’80s New Yorker Vibe all around
For the past six years, Stuart has shown an incredible ode to the West and the Great Plains as inspo but it’s pretty obvious that things are changing for a fresher take. This time around, you’ll see a sea of reds taking charge in polished wrap-around trench coats, contrasting prints and frilly silhouettes. It almost feels like the whole collection was an open ticket to endless styling opportunities! Why we say this is due to the collision of prints and colour-blocking hues! Also, Stuart has collaborated with Richard Bernstein, who illustrates the artistic covers of Interview Magazine to create pop culture’s famous portraits appearing on tanks and tees such as Michael J. Fox, Barbara Streisand and Rob Lowe, to name a few.
3. Past and Present
It’s a new beginning in the accessories department. While the collection stole our attention and heart, the brand also showcased 78 archival bags to represent 78 years of the brand’s legacy. Not only does it make us look forward to the Spring/Summer season, but the fresh and vibrant take of the archival bags are Stuart’s representation of the electric attitude of today’s New Wave and dynamics of what the city is made for!
4. Michael B. Jordan (!!!!!)
There was an endless list of well-known bloggers and celebs who graced the show with their presence, but honestly, all eyes were on Michael B. Jordan that day. As the face of the brand’s campaign, it’s hard not to take your gaze away from him as he entered the venue decked out in head-to-toe Coach, especially after knowing that he invited and sat alongside interns and students from his Outlier Society Fellowship initiative and the fashion club from Essex County Newark Tech High School in Newark, New Jersey, in honour of the brand’s “Dream It Real” initiative! What’s not to love about this talented and big-hearted star?
5. Representing Malaysia: Fazura and Joe Flizzow
We even had our very own actress and TV host, Fazura, along with rapper, Joe Flizzow attending the show as well! They were with us throughout the journey from attending the ‘Coach Originals’ event in the NY flagship store to gracing the SS20 runway show. They definitely stole the crowd’s gaze when they walked in this season’s plush easy-breezy ensembles!

Days before the debut of @coach’s SS20 collection, we celebrated with the brand in the Madison Avenue store on its new retail concept called #TheCoachOriginals where archival designs are restored, revived and remixed once again, bringing the most iconic styles to its purest and modernised form. With @kaffefassettstudio’s collab making huge waves with our very own @missfazura and @flizzow’s appearance (even @luckybsmith & @lunamaya were spotted too!) at the Pop-up, we surely kicked off #NYFW the right way! ✨🗽 #fashion #style #trend #coachny #coachmy
