The devastating news that came yesterday of the parting of Franza Sozzani, 66, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia has left many down in a sombre mood. Sozzani’s passing on Thursday, 22 December was due to a long term illness. The visionary icon has dedicated 30 years of her life leading the magazine to where it is today. During her three long decades with Vogue Italia, she went beyond the standard limits and defied the norm in fashion pushing boundaries with issues like body weight, race and what fashion really means. So as we mourn the lost of a strong voice in the fashion industry, here are her words that made her who she is and why she is loved by many.
