After a series of audition and talk shows, Malaysia has found its top 18 finalists competing for the Miss Universe Malaysia 2018 title who will be taking the world stage in the Miss Universe 2018 competition.
The contestants will have to go through a variety of challenges – physically, mentally and emotionally before they can represent our country on the international stage.
National Director of Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation (MUMO), Datin Elaine Daly said, “The journey will not be an easy one. Our theme this year – ‘Beauty Beyond You’ embodies the passion, dedication, and spirit behindnthis competition, where young women from all over the nation come together to showcase their incredible drive and determination to succeed. It’s more than just a beauty pageant.”
“This is a platform that will be life-changing, a stepping stone to greater heights, one that will open doors for these young women here to opportunities beyond their imagination. I am eager to bring out the best in them, and lead them on this amazing path that I once walked on.”
50 finalist were picked nationwide and only 18 of them were shortlisted to be in the running. Unfortunately, Evita Delmundo, the girl who defied the beauty standards, didn’t make it through but it’s okay one door closes another one opens!
