Who’s the biggest influencer of them all?

The Influence Asia 2017 awards show was held on 8 April 2017 at the Plenary Hall of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Influencers from across seven countries were brought in for Asia’s largest social media awards show. Held once every two years, Influence Asia aims to be the largest and most watched live awards show that honours achievements in the social media influence industry across Asia.

This year, nominees from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand were joined by influencers from South Korea and Vietnam for the first time. The nominees were divided into categories for beauty, fashion, lifestyle, fitness, and more. Winners were then awarded by region, decided by the 252 nominees themselves through a closed-door voting process.

“The theme for Influence Asia 2017 is ‘For The Future’, with the brand promise of ‘Creating Tomorrow’s Positive Influence’,” said Althea Lim, Executive Producer of Influence Asia 2017. “The future generations of today and tomorrow read and watch a lot of the content Influencers create. We want our nominees to appreciate and recognise this huge responsibility that they hold over future generations. Influence Asia serves as a platform to uphold standards and celebrate individual and group efforts in creating strong and positive content for the future,”
