The Swedish music producer, Avicii released a six track EP titled, Avīci today after a long two-year break from touring and releasing music.

Avicii,  real name Tim Bergling, has been teasing fans with a chain of snippets (remember that post in Machu Picchu with a llama?) of his EP on his Instagram before dropping the full list today. The tracks include notable features like Rita Ora and Aluna George.

After going on tour for [months] the Wake Me Up musician announced his retirement from touring. The news shook fans and medias alike. The reason was due to having serious health problems like acute pancreatitis and the removal of his appendix and gallbladder in 2014. So 27-year-old  had to make that important decision between music and touring. That being said, we’re glad he’s back on it again!

He wrote a note on his website saying:

“We all reach a point in our lives and careers where we understand what matters the most to us. For me, it’s creating music. That is what I live for, what I feel I was born to do.

Last year I quit performing live, and many of you thought that was it. But the end of live never meant the end of Avicii or my music. Instead, I went back to the place where it all made sense – the studio.

The next stage will be all about my love of making music to you guys. It is the beginning of something new.

Hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do”.

Now we can’t wait for the full album to be released soon!
