10 Reasons Why You Should Watch The All New ‘My Sassy Girl’ K-Drama

If you’re questioning yourself on the familiarity of the title My Sassy Girl it’s because you’re probably remembering the 2001 hit Korean movie of the same name, starring Jun Ji-Hyun (Legend of The Blue Sea) and Cha Tae-Hyun. This new television adaptation of My Sassy Girl will star Korea’s A-listers, Joo Won (The Gang Doctor) and  Oh Yeon Seo (Please Come Back Mister) and is set in the Joseon era instead of the modern-day like the original.

Joo Won plays a handsome and intelligent scholar who is quite full of himself, meanwhile, Yeon Seo portrays a beautiful princess who’s very eccentric and seriously hilarious. We’ll be seeing their romance bloom as the episode progresses between the two leads and discover the mystery and conflict unfolding on the backdrop of the political setting of the Joseon Era throughout the 16 episode drama.

The first episode premiered today but we managed to catch a preview of the first episode before the official release date (29 May) courtesy of ONE TV Asia. And here are 10 reasons why we definitely recommend you to tune into this lighthearted new drama!

Catch My Sassy Girl airing every Monday and Tuesday on Astro Channel 393 at 9 PM same time as the Korean telecast!
