It surely is a frustrating issue to see your favourite artist skipping out on Malaysia and heading to our neighbour country of Singapore to perform, but looks like fans of Anne-Marie can finally rejoice!
The British pop artist stopped by Singapore back in April 2019 to perform at The Capitol Theatre and just when we thought it’ll be a long wait before she returns to Southeast Asia, the singer announced that she’ll be holding her first-ever concert in Kuala Lumpur on 22 July 2019!
The 27-year-old Essex-born caught the spotlight back in 2016 with the hit song Rockabye, a collaborative project with Clean Bandit and Jamaican rapper Sean Paul. The pop song peaked the charts in over 20 countries and has since been certified multi-platinum across most of Europe, North America and Oceania. Her subsequent releases such as Ciao Adios, 2002 and collaboration song Friends with Marshmello also received immense success and topped several music charts worldwide.
Warner Music Malaysia’s Managing Director Darren Choy said, “As Warner Music Malaysia, we’ve worked very hard in bringing in Anne-Marie for an exclusive concert and fans will be very, very excited to hear her hits like 2002, Friends and more. They can look forward to having a good time at this concert!”
Tickets will go on sale from 17 May at 12am and will be available in four categories: Cat 1 RM238, Cat 2 RM202, Cat 3 RM188 and Cat 4 RM138. And for the very first time, fans will be able to purchase the concert tickets exclusively from LazMall on the Lazada app and website!
Lazada is undoubtedly the Amazon of Malaysia as you can get almost anything from it. From authentic beauty products to renting a boyfriend, the items available for purchase are endless. This venture into selling concert tickets will be the first for the e-commerce platform in Malaysia as they drive the Shoppertainment movement which includes event and concert ticketing solutions.
“Lazada Malaysia continues to reinvent eCommerce through Shoppertainment as more Malaysians seek a digital lifestyle, demanding entertaining, immersive experiences and are unafraid to go cashless. We are excited to present Anne-Marie’s first ever concert in Malaysia,” said Diana Boo, Chief Marketing Officer of Lazada Malaysia.
Don’t forget to set a reminder for 17 May to purchase your concert tickets from the official Warner Music Malaysia flagship store on LazMall!
