A new season has dawned on us and we’re going to take full advantage of this to update and upgrade our hair colour. Brighter or deeper? Highlights or low-lights? Decisions, decisions! Whether it’s a light touch-up, a brand new hue or taking a full 180-degree turn, you can get inspo from these social media influencers who are rocking the hottest shades on Instagram.

1. Grombré

What is grombré, you ask? For starters, it means grey and ombré, and it’s a cool, toned-down way to wear this eccentric colour. Fading from a darker tone at the roots to a faint grey on the ends, it makes an ideal gradient for any hair length!

Looks like I've jumped on the gray hair bandwagon ? do you likeeeeee?

2. Lilac Chic

Is purple more your thing? Then try this beautiful lilac hue. This one in particular has a deep grey undertone that fades out into lavender at the ends –  such a mysterious and unique shade that’ll look amazing especially on longer hair.

3. Mermaid Blue

Blue is a universal tone that women of all colour can flaunt without looking too bizarre. Mixing different shades of blue and turquoise (or subtle hints of violet) can get you one step closer to becoming a real life mermaid, just like Kittie Yi Yi.

4. Rose-gold Glam

We’re currently obsessed with everything rose-gold, period. From our iPhones to our jewellery (plus, it flatters almost all skin tones), yet we still can’t get enough. Our next mission? Swatching this ‘it’ colour on our locks, just like how Kylie Jenner rocked hers.

5. Oil Slick Hues

Here’s an iridescent mixture that’s meant to recreate the colours of an oil spill on the ground. This highly-skilled dye job incorporates shades of dark grey, purple, green and black. When done right, this pretty combination will seem like it changes colour under different lighting and angles.

The colors are multidimensional and ethereal. @guy_tang did it again ? #oilslickhair #darkunicorn
