“This might sound a bit odd, but how can I get rid of or prevent neck acne?” – Samantha Chan, Content Strategist
A: Similar to face and body acne, neck acne is common and caused by clogged pores. If you’re already affected, try to not aggravate it by keeping your neck free of irritation – that means avoiding collared or turtleneck tops, constant touching, harsh soaps and even sweaty or dirty hair. A simple home remedy is to dip a clean cotton swab in fresh lemon juice or tea tree oil and dab it directly on the affected areas. Alternatively, use products that include soothing, acne-treating properties like aloe vera, tea tree and salicylic acid.
