The Film For The Gabrielle Chanel Fragrance Will Give You The Ultimate Sensation!
It seems like 2017 is the year of Gabrielle, from the bag of the same name and now a new fragrance to signify the rebellious heart of the brand’s iconic founder and namesake of the brand. Before there was Coco there was Gabrielle. The new Gabrielle Chanel fragrance is very much rebellious, passionate and free.
Today they released the ad campaign film for the perfume featuring none other than one of Chanel’s ambassador, Kristen Stewart as Gabrielle. With Beyoncé’s Running tune playing in the background, the clip shows Kristen trapped in a cocoon, trying to escape whilst being tied and held back. But she pushed herself out of the binds and ran straight into a glass wall. As she’s now free, she looks upon the new dawn full of hope and promises.
The ad resonates deeply on how Gabrielle herself went against the social conformity and went her independent way to carve her own fate and destiny.
‘I have chosen the person I wanted to be and am’ – Gabrielle Chanel
Head of Global Creative Resources for CHANEL Fragrance & Beauty and Fine Watches & Jewelry, Thomas du Pré de Saint-Maur revealed that they wanted to highlight an emotion that could be grasped right when you watch the ad, ‘to tell a sensation as opposed to a story.’
‘Instead of retracing her life, we chose to put the spotlight on her free and rebel-at-heart personality. In my view, this quality is more difficult to find and yet all the more necessary today.’
‘Being yourself and remaining true to yourself are qualities that Gabrielle Chanel passed on to us, and this universal message—as relevant as ever—is what we wish to send to women.’ he added.
The perfume is available at Chanel Fragrance & Beauty Boutiques across the country and will be available at Chanel counters at all leading departmental stores from 1 September. Priced at RM450 for 50ml and RM650 for 100ml.
