National Diver Leong Mun Yee Opens Up About Her Challenges With Shiseido

Shiseido celebrates women’s strength and motivates all women to harness the courage and resilience at their very core.
Shiseido’s new #FindYourStrength campaign for the Ultimune skincare range celebrates the personal power every woman has within herself. The campaign challenges the conventional notion that women need external validation and affirmation of their value and beauty, and focuses on the core of inner strength each woman has to draw from.
With this philosophy in mind, Shiseido handpicked three extraordinary women shares the challenges she faced and how she found the strength within to pick herself up again. Chosen for their boldness and immense inner strength in overcoming adversity in their personal and professional lives, these personalities include critically-acclaimed Japanese dancer and choreographer Koharu Sugawara, Russian Olympian long jumper Darya Klishina, and American jazz bassist and singer Esperanza Spalding.
On Malaysian shores, Shiseido Malaysia celebrates the strength of our very own National diver, Leong Mun Yee.
Known and loved for her achievements in the Olympic Games and SEA Games, Mun Yee opens up about the life challenges she encountered on her way to success and how she persevered through every single one of them. Hardworking, strong-willed and conscientious, her grit pushed her along to conquer and become a champion, while constantly adapting and  embracing stress full on.

“Each dive lasts about a few seconds, but the practice behind all those dives takes me years and years,” she says in the campaign video, explaining what goes through her mind during a dive. “For me strength means the ability to perform under pressure and overcome life’s challenges.”

The campaign in the rest of the region also features Singapore’s Angela Lee, Mixed Martial Artist, and Indonesia’s Alexandra Asmasoebrata, Asia’s First Pro Kart Racer.
